On july 1st Burundi can blow its fifty candles of regained independance. One man, an emblematic figure of the anticolonial struggle, is directly linked to this independance, We are talking, naturally, about Prince Louis Rwagasore. Fifty years after his tragic death few people remember personally who was Rwagasore, what his vision was and what were his political and economical ambitions. In any case, Rwagasore didn't live to see the Independance Day because on october 13th, a few days after he was named Prime Ministre, he was assasinated.

La Benevolencija has just realised an exclusive documentary film on the life of prince Louis Rwagasore, the «Héros de l’indépendance », based on unmediated testimonies and verified historical sources. This premiere compilation of archive material will be shortly on air through Burundi television channels (saturday june 30th @ 21.00), and will consequently be shown in Burundi provinces and on international film festivals.
